On the 31st October we went to a school called Oratia district, when we got there we had to find our seats and wait for the other schools. When all of the schools came we sat down and they told us first to go on the website to go and book your tickets then we were waiting for Mr Lambert to come then we started to sing. The first song we sang was choo choo cha boggie when we finished they were telling us what we should work on and what we did well then we at least did three songs then we went out to play. When we came back inside we had to sit down for to hours and sing sit down sing and repeat, then when they said we were going to sing our last song was because we had to pack and leave so luckily we did it in time then we went back to school had a little play and packed up for the end of the day.

Hi bloggers, on 23rd October we went to the super market  to learn how much energy and other stuff is in foods.  When we went there the lady who taught us all of this stuff was waiting there for us then she gave us a peace of paper  and it said, Energy, Fat total, Sugar, Fibre, and sodium, so on our list the first thing we had was Breakfast and cereals so we went to the breakfast lane. so what we had to do was we had to find a something that we would have everyday and something that we would have sometimes, for example if I had coco pops everyday then that wouldn't be really good for you, but if I had Weetbix or porridge then that would of been a good cereal for you the we did the same with the Bread we had to find stuff it had it, and with the muesli bars, snack food's, but when it came to the milk and dairy products the teachers said we had to pick the stuff that we mostly liked in that section and mostly everybody did Ice cream and it only had 25.8 g of sugar in it and I chose groovy gumdrops then we all did the last task was called a rainbow of colour, so what we had to do was we had to do was, to find all fruit and veges their colour and for the green I got 17 and for the red I got 10 and there were other colours too like orange, yellow, white, purple/blue, and brown

FOOTBALL ZONES

On the 4th of April Waikowhai School, Went to Eden park for football zones. We were practising our juggling and a  attacking game the game was called rondo. Then the the main person that was there like the manager witch is like a boss opened the door for all of the schools. When we went inside we were training for our first game witch was in 15 minutes, we were versing Marshall lang first and I was subbing of for five minutes and then I went on for nikhil and he was defenses so I went on for him then we were trying our best to beat them and we beat them 5-0. Then our next team was the same team but the b team they tried there mighty best but we beat them 6-0 then we versed Hay park School so they stared with the ball, then a boy he was small and he was good at football but when he shot I slide tackled him and blocked him with my foot. The score was 3-1 so we won that one. Then the next game we versed was Mt roskill and they had fast players and good but some were negative to us and then we beat them by 4-3 to us. Our last game was St Terese they tried there best Against us but we beat them we won by 1 point. the score was 3-2 to us Me and my team felt proud about it to. Gumboot Friday

GUMBOOT FRIDAY
Hi bloggers! today I am blogging about gumboot Friday. We made some cards to support mental health. We had to write something good to make there day my one said don't ruin a good day today by thinking about a bad yesterday. Let it go and stay fine and humble. Then it was finally the day were we had to put the messages into the mail boxes. I was with Nikihil mum we had Noah, Rio, Toby, me, Nikihil, Alan, Inde that was it. Then Noah asked us some questions the first person to get it right gets to put it in the mail box but you can't get the answer right twice. But then it was time to go back to school and that was gumboot Friday

2019's Assembly

CHRISTCHURCH SPECIAL ASSEMBLY

    Hi, bloggers! last week Monday Waikowhai Primary School had a special Assembly. We were singing songs for the people that had died, We made some cards for them to show that we love them. And we hope it doesn't happen again. First of all we were inside of the hall and started to talk about what happened down there. Then we sang some songs, After that we went outside and went and sat by the new kowhai tree. Then we stood for two minutes. Then we held the person that was next to us and hold hands with them. And we had to sing a song to show that we love them, and the song was called Aotearoa. And if you want to donate go to the site
